Well they may not have suffered, but Salem's Lot (based on the Stephen King book of the same name) sure scared the s#@! out of me.
Amazon.com: Salem's LotI have liked all the Stephen King mini-series movies of his novels much better than the big screen versions. The mini-series gets into way more detail from the book. I thought Rob Lowe did a good job and Donald Sutherland's character was very creepy. The only thing about this that I thought was better in the big screen version was the vampire.
